Night Work Goes to Halifax!
September 4, 2008 | Submitted by BookShorts

Night Work: A Sawchuk Poem (shot at Beachy Cove with the whole cast and crew from your town!) will be featured at the Atlantic Film Festival in Halifax on Wednesday September 17th at 9:30pm. The film is an adaptation of Corner Brook resident Randall Magg’s book Night Work: The Sawchuk Poems (Brick Books) by Director Justin Simms and screenwriter Greg Spottiswood. This dramatic short is a poignant reflection of hockey legend Terry Sawchuk, underscoring his lasting impression on a young man in a small Newfoundland town. Cast includes Des Walsh, Phil Churchill, Lois Brown with Joshua Hogan and Nathan Hayward in cameo's as "Hockey Boys!"

P.S. If you miss it in Halifax, see is when it comes to SJWIFF in October - more on that soon :)
