January 28, 2009

Telefilm Canada is currently accepting entries for the Canadian Selection Screenings in Montréal for the 62e FESTIVAL DE CANNES Official Selection which comprises 3 sections: Competition, Out of Competition, Un Certain Regard, as well as for the two parallel sections, the 48th International Critics’ Week, and the 41st Directors’ Fortnight.

Registration deadline with Telefilm Canada for the selection screenings: February 18, 2009.

For more information, or to register, check out the Telefilm website.

The FESTIVAL DE CANNES is the most important festival in the world: close to 40,000 accredited professionals and 4,000 journalists attended the Festival.
During those screenings, the Festival’s selectors will be considering narrative feature-length films.

Feature-length documentaries are programmed on very rare occasions in Cannes. They can be submitted via Telefilm Canada but will be screened in Montréal only if time permits. Consult this Call for entries for detailed information.

The Festival and the parallel sections waive their entry fees for films submitted at the Screenings in Montréal.

Short films will not be screened in Montréal and must be submitted directly to the Festival in Paris.
