You Ask, We Answer

How do I get a quote for my move?

The quickest way is to fill out the form online — drop in your addresses, move date, and a few details, and someone will call you back within 20 minutes. Prefer to talk right away? Phone and email work too.

How long will my move take?

Mostly depends on home size and distance. Rough averages:
‍

Studio: 2.5–3.5 hours

1 bedroom: 4–5 hours

2 bedroom: 5–7 hours

3 bedroom: 8.5–10 hours
‍

How well things are packed before the crew arrives, whether furniture needs to come apart, and elevator access in larger buildings all make a real difference to the final time.

How far in advance should I book movers?

As early as you can — summer fills up fast. The sooner you book, the more flexibility you have with dates and timing.

How is the cost of a move calculated?

It's hourly, based on crew size. Pick your package, multiply the rate by the time the job takes, add the truck fee and 13% HST — that's your total. No formulas to memorize, just three numbers.
‍

Here's a real example. Say you book the three-mover crew at $169/hr and the job takes six hours:
‍

crew time: $169 × 6 = $1,014

truck fee (varies by distance, say $100 for a local move): $100

subtotal: $1,114

HST (13%): $144.82

total: $1,258.82
‍

The truck fee is the only part that shifts depending on your specific move — everything else is predictable from the start. And since extra time after the three-hour minimum is billed in 15-minute increments, you're never paying for a full extra hour you didn't use.

Is there a minimum charge?

Yes — three hours plus the truck fee, on every move. Even if the job wraps up faster, the minimum still applies.

What is a truck fee?

It covers getting the truck to your place and back after the job. The amount depends on distance — anywhere from $100 to $250 — and goes toward fuel and keeping the fleet road-ready.

Can you pack everything for us?

Yes. There's no separate charge for packing — it's billed as part of the hourly rate. The trade-off is that packing takes time, so the job runs longer and the total goes up accordingly.

Do you wrap furniture for safe transport?

Every piece gets wrapped in heavy-duty moving blankets before it leaves your home. Legs, corners, and undersides get extra attention since that's where damage usually happens, and anything with glass — tabletops, cabinet doors, mirrors — is wrapped and secured on its own. All of this comes with the hourly rate, nothing extra.

Can you dismantle and reassemble furniture?

Yes — included in the hourly rate, no extra charge for the service itself. It does add time to the job. One exception: TV remounting onto a wall at the new place isn't included. That usually needs wall-specific hardware, stud location, and sometimes a handyman to do it properly. The crew will disconnect everything and leave it neatly set aside for you or a specialist to finish.

Do you have special bags for mattresses?

Yes — heavy-duty mattress bags on every mattress, every move, whatever the size. Keeps everything clean, dry, and protected from dust and moisture.

How do you handle plants during a move?

Most plants can be moved — small succulents to large floor plants. Each one gets assessed on the day since pot material, shape, and fragility vary so much. If you have something particularly large or delicate, mention it when booking so the crew can plan around it rather than figure it out at the door.

Do I need to be present during the move?

You don't have to be, but it helps. If you can't make it, have someone you trust on-site to handle access, keep an eye on loading and unloading, and make sure nothing gets left behind.

What items can't be transported?

Anything hazardous — propane tanks, flammable liquids, explosives, toxic substances. You'll need to make separate arrangements for those in line with local safety rules.

What happens if something is damaged?

The crew takes every reasonable precaution, but if something does get damaged because of how it was handled, there are coverage options for repairs or compensation.

How do you move heavy items like pianos?

Pianos need the right equipment and people who know how to use it. There may be additional costs involved because of the specialized labor and gear required — let the team know in advance so they can come prepared and give you an accurate quote.
